What is Conversant CDN?

Conversant CDN is a content delivery network that accelerates content distribution through a globally distributed network of edge nodes. It improves the loading speed and access stability of origin content such as images, videos, and web pages.

When an end-user requests content, the system intelligently routes the request to the edge node with the lowest latency using a global routing mechanism. This ensures optimal delivery performance.

Content from the origin is cached on edge nodes based on defined policies. When popular content is requested, it can be served directly from the nearest edge node without accessing the origin, which reduces response time, alleviates load on the origin server, and enhances its availability and reliability.

The multi-tier architecture of the CDN enables global coverage, effectively mitigating issues caused by long-distance or cross-region requests, such as high latency and slow response.

The intelligent routing and scheduling system selects the most suitable edge node based on the user’s location and network provider, thereby minimising overall latency and maximising throughput.
