What is Low-Latency Streaming (LLS)?

Conversant Low-Latency Streaming Solution (LLS) is designed to deliver stable, efficient, and scalable live streaming with minimal latency, even under high-concurrency scenarios. It provides powerful real-time media processing capabilities and an optimised architecture that ensures a high-quality viewing experience across diverse platforms.

LLS minimises latency through a multi-layered design. On the ingest side, streamers are connected to nearby edge nodes, significantly reducing input latency. The core processing layer handles real-time audio and video transcoding and packaging using high-performance hardware and optimised algorithms. On the delivery side, viewer requests are routed to the nearest edge nodes, accelerating content distribution and reducing downlink delay.

Playback startup time is further optimised through GOP cache mechanisms, which minimise initial frame delay and enhance responsiveness. LLS supports rapid service deployment, domains and configurations can be set up within minutes, and enables scalable, low-latency delivery of interactive live content across a wide range of devices and platforms.
