File Download Acceleration

Conversant CDN accelerates large file distribution, such as game installation packages, application updates, and software packages. By prefetching resources into edge nodes and applying cache control policies, download speeds are improved while origin bandwidth consumption is reduced.

Steps:

  1. Go to Domains, create a domain, configure the domain name and origin URL, and click Save.
  2. On the Domains page, select the newly created domain, go to SSL Certificate, click Attach, and select Auto Certificate.
  3. Configure the CNAME record provided under Standard Mode at your DNS provider.
  4. Click Attach and wait for the auto certificate to be effective.
  5. To prefetch specific files (e.g., https://www.example.com/foo/bar.tar), go to Prefetch, enter the URLs (separated by new lines), and click Prefetch.
