Custom Rules

Automatically discover APIs based on predefined conditions. Requests matching the rule’s conditions are added to the API asset for user confirmation.

Configuration:

• Rule Name and Description
• Triggering Condition:
  • Metrics: Select the appropriate metric for triggering the rule.
  • Matching Condition: Define the matching condition (e.g., specific request patterns).
  • Value: Set the value for the condition (e.g., request count, path pattern).
• API Request/Response Sampling Frequency: Set the frequency for collecting complete request and response packets for each API.

Global Settings

Managed Rules are pre-configured discovery rules designed to automatically identify APIs based on HTTP queries.

Configuration:

• Rule Name and Description
• Triggering Condition:
  • Metrics: Select the metric for triggering the rule.
  • Matching Condition: Define the condition that must be met (e.g., specific HTTP method or path).
  • Value: Set the value for the condition (e.g., request pattern or threshold).

These settings allow users to manage and customize the pre-configured discovery rules, enabling automatic API identification through HTTP queries.
