Streaming Media Acceleration

Conversant CDN accelerates video and audio streaming by supporting protocols such as HLS and MPEG-DASH. Edge nodes optimise delivery by merging concurrent requests for the same content into a single origin fetch, reducing origin bandwidth and load.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Domains, create a domain, configure the domain name and origin URL, check Enable Streaming, and click Save.
  2. On the Domains page, select the newly created domain, go to SSL Certificate, click Attach, and select Auto Certificate.
  3. Configure the CNAME record provided under Standard Mode at your DNS provider.
  4. Click Attach and wait for the auto certificate to be effective.
  5. To restrict playback for specific IP addresses or ranges, go to Access Control, click Add Blacklist. Configure IP/Network Restriction (e.g., 172.31.32.0/24), and click Save.
