Recording Template

Recording template management includes creating, querying, editing, and deleting templates. Recording templates are used to configure live recording policies.

Recording templates support three scopes of application:

  • Apply to all livestreams under a specific ingest domain (recommended).
  • Apply to all livestreams under a specific app within the ingest domain.
  • Apply to a single specified livestream.

In addition to the scope, each recording template defines the recording source, recording format, and storage configuration.

LLS live recording supports recording directly from the ingest stream or from the media processing output stream. The recorded content can be saved as MP4, HLS, or DASH files and uploaded to one of the following storage destinations: Conversant OSS (recommended), AWS S3, FTP, or SFTP.

At the start and end of each recording session, LLS sends the recording-related information to the configured notification endpoint via the notification service.
