Media Processing Configuration

General​

Name: Enter the output name, support a-z, 0-9, and _ (underscore). Forms part of the playback URL.

Output Protocol​

Support Low Latency HLS (LL-HLS), HLS, and MPEG-DASH.

Preset​

Create or select at least one transcoding preset. Refer to Transcoding Preset Configuration.

Package​

When the output protocol is HLS, configure the audio format. Supported formats: .ts and .mp3.

DRM (Digital Rights Management)​

Support:

  • FairPlay for HLS and LL-HLS

  • Widevine and PlayReady for DASH All DRM integrations are performed via the Verimatrix MultiRights DRM Platform. Configuration parameters:

    • Content ID: User-defined content identifier.

    • Verimatrix SiteId: Organisation identifier.

    • Verimatrix CEI URL: URL endpoint for obtaining key files from the Verimatrix platform for content encryption.

AES Encryption​

Provide AES-128 encryption for HLS live streams.

Time Shifting​

  • Rewind: Enable playback of earlier segments in a live broadcast by moving backwards along the stream timeline. Users can revisit specific parts of a program within the live buffer duration.

  • Advanced Time Shifting Features: Includes start-over, catch-up, nDVR, and nPVR. Refer to Advanced Time Shifting Features.

Live Recording​

Generates recordings from multiple rendition outputs. If multiple transcoding presets are configured, recordings for all renditions are created.
